The 42nd International Air Weapon Competition (RIAC) in Strassen, Luxembourg proved to be an outstanding and highly competitive event, featuring three very challenging matches across the programme.![]()

In the Junior competitions, Annie Williams and Isaac Baxter both delivered solid and composed performances against strong international fields. The experience gained at this level will be invaluable as they build towards next year’s trip to Bulgaria with British Shooting. For Annie, the event was particularly special as it marked her first trip abroad representing Wales, a fantastic milestone in her shooting journey. We wish both Annie and Isaac every success going into the New Year.![]()

The Senior Men’s competition, featuring Joe Baker, was fiercely contested with over 50 senior athletes, including a number of athletes who featured at the most recent Olympic Games. Joe rose to the challenge, holding his own against world-class opposition and finishing in the top third of the field on all three days — a strong and consistent performance.![]()

Most importantly, a huge thank you to all the helpers this weekend: Lance, Sharon, Kathryn, Aaron, Sarah, Derek, Alan, Chris, Trevor, Lucy — plus Mike, Niamh, and Chris M for spending time in the clubroom talking to all our guests. And a big thank you as well to anyone I may have missed — your help is truly appreciated.
Great first day at the Crewe Winter Open! Day two tomorrow, great seeing so many people coming to Crewe from Scotland, Wales and all over England 🤩
Big thanks to everyone who came to the AGM Friday night —what a great evening! A special thank-you to Rosie for all the delicious food, to Niamh and Nikki for their help, and to Trevor for the glorious desserts.
